How the Trust Score works

A score out of 10, worked out automatically from each shop's own website, our price crawler and customer reviews. Payment, claiming a listing or affiliate deals never change it.

How we check a shop

Every week our crawler, PeptideHubBot, reads each shop's homepage and the pages it links to for delivery, privacy, terms, refunds, contact details and lab reports. It follows robots.txt and reads about ten pages per shop. We also look up when the domain was registered in the public registry. Each check below either passes or fails, and every shop page links to the page where we found the evidence.

AreaPointsWhat we check
Who runs it2Company registration number on the site (0.8), a business address (0.5), an email at the shop's own domain (0.4), a phone number (0.3).
Lab testing2A lab-report or certificate page (0.8), a named independent testing lab (0.6), batch or lot numbers shown (0.6).
Policies1.5A privacy policy (0.3, plus 0.15 if it covers UK/EU GDPR and 0.15 if it explains your data rights), terms and conditions (0.4), a refund or returns policy (0.5).
Delivery1A shipping or delivery page (0.4) that states delivery times (0.4) and offers tracking (0.2).
Buyer protection11 if you can pay by card or PayPal, which come with chargeback rights. Bank transfer and crypto do not.
Site and domain1Domain age from the public registry (0.5 at two years or more, 0.35 at one year, 0.2 at six months), a security header forcing HTTPS (0.2), and prices we can read automatically or from a feed (0.3).
Warning signs1Starts at 1 and loses 0.25 for each warning sign, whether found automatically (for example human dosing guidance or crypto-only payment) or noted by an editor.
Customer reviews0.5Average rating of approved reviews, scaled to 0.5 and weighted until a shop has 10 reviews.

Bands

  • 7.5 to 10, Strong. Clear about who runs it, publishes lab reports, has proper policies and few or no warning signs.
  • 5.5 to 7.4, Fair. Most basics in place.
  • 3.5 to 5.4, Mixed. Several gaps. Read the warning signs before buying.
  • 0 to 3.4, Weak. Little you can verify.

Limits

The score measures what a shop lets you check before you buy. It is not a lab test of any product and a high score is not a guarantee. Some shops block crawlers or build their sites in ways we cannot read; their score is marked provisional until we can check them. Automatic checks can miss things or misread a page, so every claimed shop can ask us to re-check, and our editors can add warning signs they find by hand.
